Rubric

2012 Presentation Rubric

Each category can receive up to ten points for each element. The element scores will be combined to generate a category score. Category scores will be added for an overall performance score.

·        Clarity of Writing (20 total points)
           - Captures attention
           - Is easily understood
·        Creativity (30 total points)
-         Has originality of subject or idea
-         Has imagination in manner of production/presentation
-         Has clever, inventive and effective use of materials to express ideas
·        Quality of Project (20 total points)
-         Follows directions
-         Demonstrates skill, craftsmanship, and durability
·        Thoroughness of Written Information (20 total points)
-         Places proper emphasis on important items
-         Has completely portrayed the concept of the book
·        Interest Evoked (40 total points)
-         Represents real study and effort
-         Exhibits appropriate academic level
-         Encourages readers to read the book
-         Is visually appealing
·        Multimedia Presentation (40 total points)
-         Technological Elements
-         Organization of transitions
-         Multimedia style
-         Navigation

Determination of Winner

The presentation with the highest combined total of Storyboard Requirement points plus Presentation Rubric points shall be declared the winner of the Reading Fair. The presentation with the second highest number of points shall be the runner-up.
