Five Basic Methods

1)     Geographical Location : exactly  where the story takes place; location could be placed on a map

2)     Time Period: when the story takes place

3)     Socio-economics: interaction of the characters of the story – wealth, cliques, social status

4)     Specific Location : exact place of the events happening

5)     Weather : season, storms, heat, etc
